How CROSS:SCAN Helps CBA

Protect Your Privacy and Data

CBA Safeguards and Security Policies

  1. DATA SUBMISSION: CBA doesn’t “grab” your data – we help you set up your system for you to submit it to your own password-protected folder via secured FTP.
  2. DATA VISIBLITY: Individual store data submitted to CROSS:SCAN will NEVER be shared, viewed by, or visible to others.
  3. DATA PRIVACY IN REPORTS: The weekly CROSS:SCAN reports are an aggregate collection of all participating stores' data, so your privacy is insured. No individual store data or retail entity's data is ever identifiable in these reports.
  4. DATA SECURITY TRACK RECORD: CBA has employed multiple technical and physical security measures. We have a 6-year track record with STATS(tm) sales data that is clean and proven (with the utmost care and privacy) for CBA Bestseller and Core Inventory reports. We also have nearly a year's worth of a track record now with hundreds of Christian stores reporting to and using CROSS:SCAN reports.
  5. CBA NETWORK PROTECTION: CBA has never had any breach of our network whatsoever. Our network has a secure firewall and is protected with the latest software security patches, anti-virus software, spyware and ad-ware software protection.
  6. CBA NETWORK AUDIT: Our network security has been audited by the most highly regarded technical security firm in Colorado, and has been found to be very secure.
  7. CBA NETWORK -- PHYSICAL ACCESS: Physical network security is strongly maintained; with access to server and network equipment limited only to qualified IT personnel. Access to any submitted or aggregated CROSS:SCAN data, and software, is fully restricted to 3 IT personnel and no one else, including CBA senior management.
  8. PASSWORD-PROTECTED SECURITY: Every CROSS:SCAN submitting Christian retail store is provided a private, password protected, FTP folder for data submission and CROSS:SCAN report delivery to the store.
  9. * SUPPLIER ACCESS TO CROSS:SCAN DATA: If Suppliers are allowed access to CROSS:SCAN aggregate data at some future point, CBA has committed publicly that their view of sales data will be for only their company's SKUs.
  10. RETAIL-MEMBER APPROVED: The Christian Retail Channel leadership organizations that partnered with CBA in creating CROSS:SCAN were adamant that CBA ensure proper protection of retail data. The protections noted above are fully in place and to their complete satisfaction. Retailers participating include: Association of Logos Bookstores, Berean Christian Stores, Covenant Marketing Group, Family Christian Stores, Lemstone Christian Stores, LifeWay Christian Stores, Mardel Christian & Education Supply, and the Munce Group.
