Unique Attributes of CROSS:SCAN Service*

Here's what CBA is offering that you can't find in any other data program in the industry

  1. Fully retailer-driven, retailer-owned, and retail-member directed.
  2. Based on a real retail week: Sunday through Saturday
  3. Quickly and easily identify which products have made significant jumps or declines from the week before.
  4. Tracks real, actual, Christian retail sales activity on a weekly basis. Future versions may include new regional breakouts (pending further input from retail leaders).

  5. Reports broken into four (4) individual categories: books, Bibles, music, video, plus one including all four (4) combined.

  6. If you belong to a purchasing or marketing group, you may also choose to be included in a report that aggregates data for stores in your group, which provides your group with better information to negotiate better terms and relationships with your suppliers.

Current retail groups helping develop and/or committed to working with CROSS:SCAN include:

  • Association of Logos Bookstores
  • CAABA (Christian African-American Booksellers Association)
  • Covenant Group
  • Lemstone Christian Stores
  • Munce Group
  1. If suppliers are allowed access to CROSS:SCAN aggregate data at some future point, CBA has committed publicly that their view of sales data will be for only their company's SKUs.

* PLEASE NOTE:  CBA is not asking stores to stop reporting to any other data services.  The decision to share data or contribute data to an industry reporting service is a personal decision each store should make.
