Getting Started With CROSS:SCAN ...

 

  • First, authorize an agreement that spells out CBA’s responsibilities and accountability to you and the industry for protecting and delivering your data and free reports.  Contact CBA Member Services at 800.252.1950 or info@cbaonline.org to get started.
  • Contact your POS vendor to coordinate sending your sales data to CROSS:SCAN.  If your system is not set up to transmit data automatically to CROSS:SCAN, then contact Dean Edwards at CBA. Some POS companies charge a set-up fee.
  • If you don’t have a POS system, contact Dean Edwards.  He will explore alternative data-submission arrangements for you.
  • Once you authorize the data agreement, a personal password and FTP folder will be set up to deliver weekly reports. 
  • Reports are scheduled to arrive weekly on Wednesday. 
  • If you subscribe to the free Above the Treeline Base Camp or subscription Summit version, once you authorize CROSS:SCAN you can see CROSS:SCAN data in Treeline through a pull-down menu.

* NOTE: ALTERNATIVE REPORT MECHANISM THROUGH ABOVE THE TREELINE... CBA recently expanded it's agreement with Above The Treeline to facilitate data transmission and CROSS:SCAN output reports for stores wanting to use that system. Click here to get more information about that announcement.
